by Todd Martens, L.A.

Port Washington, N.Y.-based Koch Entertainment Distribution started the new
year with the addition of a handful of indies. Joining Koch's exclusive distribution roster is Bodog Music, Syntax Records, Latchkey Recordings and Indianola Records.

Bodog had previously worked with label group MRI, which used the RED Distribution pipeline. The label has worked with such acts as Bif Naked and Dead Celebrity.

Urban label Syntax had released music through Junkyward, and counts Sackcloth Fashion and RedCloud among its roster. Indianola Records specializes in hard rock, and had previously utilized the Lumberjack Mordam Label Group.

Latchkey is new label founded in 2006 by attorney Mark Schwartz and producer
Kether Gallu-Bada. Koch is first distributor for the hip-hop focused label.
