Staind To Open Doors On Mobile Pre-Orders

Atlantic Records is teaming up with Amazon.com to let Staind fans pre-order the band's upcoming album via mobile phones.
Staind is the first band to take advantage of Amazon's new TextBuyIt service, which allows them to pre-order the new album - "The Illusion of Progress, in stored Aug. 19 - by texting the word "Staind" to a special short code.
The pre-order is for a special, fan-club edition of the album, of which only 20,000 were made. The pre-order includes a one-year membership to the band's fan club, early access to pre-ale tickets, exclusive videos, invites to meet-and-greet sessions and other benefits. The special edition album includes live acoustic versions of several past hits, as well as a free ringtone of the new single "Believe."
